Maha Music Festival is a community-founded, community-led, nonprofit music festival that has hosted over 80 musical acts, dozens of fellow nonprofits, and thousands of attendees from more than 40 states since their first event in 2009. This year, Maha is throwing their 9th annual festival in the Aksarben Village on August 19, 2017.
“The goal of Maha Music Festival is to create a memorable end-of-summer experience that celebrates their local community–the people and what they do, what they create and build, and the causes they champion,” says Lauren Martin, executive director for Maha.
Proseeds attended the 2016 Maha Music Festival and, with Maha’s help, signed up over 100 Proseeders. Since then, Maha has been able to use Proseeds to help fund their non-profit. “The funds raised support Maha in offering affordable ticket prices, providing fellow nonprofits a platform at the festival, and promoting our remarkable community,” Martin says.
The goals of Maha align cohesively with the goals of Proseeds. Martin sees how Proseeds not only helps out their organization, but helps the community as a whole. “Proseeds is an experience that has been nothing short of excellent. Each member of Proseeds’ team works tirelessly, not only to ensure a good experience with their business and platform, but to improve our community and further our ability to invest in this great place we call home.”
Maha Music Festival will be announcing this year’s lineup this Thursday, March 30 via a free, all-ages event at Reverb Lounge. Tickets for the 9th annual festival are already on sale for the August 19th event. You can purchase tickets here.
